The 2016 draft class has been so underwhelming (where is Ben Simmons? Give him back to me, oh cruel destiny) that a rookie averaging three points per game on acceptable percentages seems like a major score. That rookie is Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, more concisely referred to as “TLC” or “Cabarrot Cake”. He’s been entrusted with more minutes lately, and has been making the most of them, scoring in double-digits three times in the past eight games. That doesn’t sound so good when I type it out, but remember that part about the 2016 draft class gargling absolute donkey taint? Yeah. Double-digits from ANY of those guys at this point is a huge surprise.
In this game he got just twelve minutes (okay closer to thirteen) but scored twelve points (that one we can’t round up) in those minutes. He was also a perfect five-of-five from the field. This is a large improvement over previous outings where he might get fifteen or twenty minutes but only score four points. French NBA fans officially have a new player to get hyped about now that they seemingly don’t care about Rudy Gobert or Kevin Seraphin (LOL[lots of laughs]).
