Without Joel Embiid, the 76ers have lost a lot of their funness. They still have some fun players (Dario Saric, Richaun Holmes, Ersan Ilyasova[yes he count as fun dammit just trust me on this]), but they are not as consistently fun as Embiid was. Saric, probably their greatest hope for fun outside of that other rookie, has been slumping the last few games, putting up not-so-good numbers except for a couple performances.
With this game, he is averaging over 10 points for the season, better than any player actually drafted this year. You can criticize him for his poor shooting or his bad assist-to-turnover ratio or his crappy mustache, but 10 points per game is 10 points that hardly any other rookie can score. That counts for something, right? Take away those points, and the 76ers fall even further out of the playoff picture. Man, seems like just yesterday their fans were crowing about making an 8th seed push.
