Michael Beasley 17 Points Full Highlights (2/26/2017)

Michael Beasley has been playing well for the Bucks. Almost… too well. No, I’m not thinking steroids. I know I always bring up steroids as a reason for a formerly bad player playing well, but that’s not the case this time. Well, it kind of is. Is Adderall a steroid?

Because I think it explains the uncanny amount of focus that Beasley has displayed this year. No more waffle fries and ice cream. It seems like in years past every time they cut to the bench with him sitting on it, he was laughing and smiling and acting like he hadn’t a care in the world. There is still some of that, but it’s rarer. And it seems like this year, after made baskets, he doesn’t celebrate. Or even acknowledge that he did anything good at all. Just running stony-faced back up the court.

Yes, I’m aware that this theory sucks. Deal with it. Maybe I’m totally off base, maybe Adderall, when administed to an NBA player, would lead to more of a Jeff Green-esque sluggishness. I personally don’t have any experience with the stuff (imagine how productive I’d be, though…). I don’t pretend to have the answers, but I need an explanation for why I don’t hate Beasley even though all previous fanbases (except the Rockets’) told me that he sucked.
