Whose fault is it that Mario Hezonja had a disappointing sophomore season in the NBA? There are arguments to be made for both sides.
OFFICIAL REASONS WHY IT COULD BE MARIO’S FAULT:
-It’s his job to play well
-He got benched for not playing well, plain and simple
-His hair flops around on his head, which is distracting both to him and to his teammates
-He hasn’t developed as fast as people expected
-The whole “shooting 35% from the field” thing is totally on Mario, and if he keeps this up he will definitely be a bust
-Not enough dunks
OFFICIAL REASONS WHY IT COULD BE THE MAGIC ORGANIZATION’S FAULT:
-They drafted Mario into a situation where it would be hard for him to succeed
-They made an illogical win-now push in the offseason, sacrificing Mario’s development
-Frank Vogel is a stupid dumb-butt
-Whiteboard
-When your player development and scouting both suck so much it’s no surprise when the players you draft are all disappointments/borderline busts
-Rob Hennigan has no idea how to operate a franchise and has no concept of asset management
-Why did they screw over Dwight?
As you can see, both parties are to blame, and the sad end result is that I made this lame highlight video showing Hezonja scoring 13 points and it’s probably his second-best performance of the season.
