I’m pretty sure that the only way I could ever get the NBA highlight viewing populace at large to watch Clint Capela highlight videos would be to blatantly lie in the video title. I could either embellish the stats (16 dunks? 42 points? 13 blocks? 5 assists? any of those would be outlandish enough to drive clicks) or I could just pretend that it’s a LeBron James or Stephen Curry highlight video. I’d put LeBron’s real statline in the title, the thumbnail image would be LeBron, but when you click on it you get Clint Capela instead.
Doing something mean like that would befoul the sanctity of YouTube and forever alter the perceived accuracy of highlight videos on my channel, but those things would be worth it if it meant more people came to realize what an absolute studbeast Clint Capela is right now. Sure, Harden gets like 40% of the credit, and D’Antoni gets 10% of it, but that’s still 50% of the credit that goes to Clint and all the work he’s put in to maximizing his limited skill set.
