I’m piloting a new online program tentatively called “Hill Shills”. How it works is I recruit unemployed males aged 18-25 from various message boards and gaming communities to spam George Hill-related comments on every NBA-themed video on YouTube. Video about LeBron James? There’s twenty dudes in the comment section saying “George Hill better than LeBum Shames” and “George Hill is a very solid, underrated point guard.” Video showing another Draymond Green nut kick? “george hill never kicks people in the balls LOL!!!” Video of some random scrub? “u know whos way better than this dude is george hill.” That’s the general idea, to just flood YouTube and other socially-oriented websites with content supportive of George Hill.
I was going to call it the GHIDF (George Hill Internet Defense Force) but that name didn’t make much sense because there was nobody really attacking George Hill to begin with, so there’s no “defending” him. The issue is that nobody cares about him. That will all change once Hill Shills gets off the ground.
Unfortunately, my enthusiasm for this project is somewhat low because 1.) I still haven’t gotten George Hill himself to respond to my tweets about a monthly installment of $10,000 for running this service and 2.) I don’t even really care about George Hill myself. I resist doing his highlights and the only thing that would get me hyped for him is if he scored 100 in three quarters. The fact that he never makes funny faces for my thumbnails also makes me resent him. So, Hill Shills is never going to get off the ground unless he pays me, because I don’t have the desire to coordinate this if it’s going to be a charity.
If you want to be a Hill Shill, it’s an unpaid position right now but there are opportunities for advancement. Just go to the Hill Shills secret forum, sign up, and, when my own payment is lined up, I’ll let you know which videos you should target. Or you could freelance for now. People already do it for LeBron and Curry out of the goodness of their hearts.
