Willie Cauley-Stein 22 Points/4 Dunks Full Highlights (12/23/2017)

Another high-scoring game for Willie Cauley-Stein, another game where he doesn’t shoot any of the jumpshots that I so desperately crave from him. I totally understand that he’s shooting 30% this year on jumpshots. I understand that. I also am fully aware that WCS missed the three or four midrange attempts he had in this game. But the Kings aren’t going to win squat this year even with Z-Bo playing out of his mind, so WCS needs to just keep shooting those damn jumpers until one of them goes in so I can see it and be able to continue living my life in peace.

I’m sitting here right now trying to think of any recent center who has been both a lob-catching beast and a feathery-light shooter from outside. The only one I can think of is Anthony Davis. So if WCS develops both parts of his game to their fullest extent, he’ll basically be a lite version of Anthony Davis, except WCS has straighter teeth and isn’t as injury-prone. In my mind, that would make him an IMPROVED version of AD. Do the Kings want the next AD or do they not want the next AD? The answer is obvious.

So just force-feed him jumpers until that happens, and leave the “be competitive in games” part for later.
