Bismack Biyombo’s previous career high of 17 came in game 7 of the Raptors’ series against the Heat, a clutch performance that was likely the one that earned him his ridiculous contract. That performance wasn’t anything special offensively, and as you can probably imagine, neither is this one. If you were imagining something akin to prime Olajuwon reincarnated, you were being way too optimistic.
It’s not like it was ALL open dunks, though. He had to fight through some contact on some of these buckets, and a few of them weren’t trivial to convert. Sure, the last one to get him over the 20-point barrier for the first time was embarrassingly easy, but what’s really embarrassing is that the Wizards let this happen.
Semi-related: if you want to have a good time, look up the boxscore of the highest-scoring game Biyombo had with the Bobcats, the team that originally drafted him. Spoiler alert: Matt Carroll played 9 minutes. Spoiler alert part two: Byron Mullens scored 31.
