Mike Conley is a rare breed of player: a starter on a playoff quality team who somehow gets no recognition for his consistently great play. It baffles me how little people talk about this guy. Maybe he needs to dunk it more? Come to think of it I don’t think I’ve ever seen him dunk. Maybe he needs to shoot more threes? That’s not really his game, though he did hit four of them tonight. Maybe you can blame the GaZebo tandem, who don’t catch enough attention-grabbing alley-oops.
Of course, this all doesn’t actually matter. Conley doesn’t care that he’s underappreciated. He’s content to let swaggy chuckers like Lillard take all the spotlight while he contributes more positively to his team’s chances. Do I feel the beginnings of a twitter feud rumbling? My desk sure is shaking a lot…
Oh god. Earthquake. Earthquake! AAAAAHHHHHHHhhhhhh!
