The “Kent Bazemore at point guard” experiment needs to end. He’s barely an NBA level shooting guard; playing him out of position only makes him worse. Just play Nedovic as the backup. At least he has court vision. This blatant mismanagement of available talent really calls into the question the competency of the Warriors’ coaching staff. But that’s nothing new. Mark Jackson simply isn’t a good coach and the Warriors would benefit from a more disciplined offensive system.
The willy-nilly three chucking that composes the bulk of their offense has already rubbed off on Baze, as you can see in this video. No reason for him to be taking Curry-esque pull-up threes. Just because they went in doesn’t mean they were good shots. But in the spirit of love for my fellow man I refuse to dwell on the negative. He also had some impressive drives to the basket. He should do that all the time. Gotta play to your strengths.
