After setting a season-high in points last game with nineteen, Taj “Mahal” Gibson set another season-high with twenty points in this game. If he can continue incrementing his point totals by one point every game, he should be scoring around forty points per game by the end of the season.
Is anybody else really surprised that Gibson didn’t have a twenty-point game this season until now? He’s started every game he’s appeared in, and he averages over ten PPG. You would think that, with the amount of shots he gets to take, he would accidentally luck into a twenty-point game at some point, but it took until now for that to happen, and it really only happened this time because KAT was out of the second straight game.
I would like to remind Taj that certain Timberwolves dance team members might be slightly more receptive to his poetry-aided advances if he were a more prominent scorer on the team. That means having twenty-point games on something more frequent than a yearly basis. He might not like to admit it, but cheerleaders are just like casual NBA fans in that they value PPG above all else.
