Alex Caruso 15 Points Full Highlights (3/6/2019)

Lost in the brouhaha about NoDefense “LeBron James Suckballs passing Michael Jordan on the all-time scoring leaderboards (yawn… wake me up when he passes Kareem) is the fact that Alex Caruso just tied his career-high. I can’t tell if 15 points seems low or high for his career-high. On one hand, it’s low because we know he can get hella buckets in the G-League, on the other hand, it’s high because just look at him. I made a promise to not talk about the presence or non-presence of follicles, and DownToBuck is a man of his word. But damn.

The commentators, ignorant as they are, didn’t even mention the fact that Caruso was having one of the games of his life. By the time he scored his final bucket, I think they had stopped talking about the game entirely. Expected, but still annoying. Even while he was getting bucket after bucket he could only get token mentions.

I’m totally biased (due to of my undying and irrational love for scrubs), but I like this dude better than Rajon Rondo. Caruso doesn’t sit with the fans. Caruso doesn’t hog the ball. Caruso doesn’t not fit at all with LeBron. What were the Lakers even thinking with that signing? Not to mention all their other crazy signings and mystifying trades. Well, they’re laying in the bed of their own making now; LeBron’s “playoff-mode” didn’t have any effect and now they’re going to miss the playoffs. Good. Maybe they can tank and start playing their real talent some real minutes. Can I get a hoo-rah for a Alex Caruso/Isaac Bonga starting guard tandem?
