Tyler Herro 20 Points Full Highlights (11/23/2019)

Shooting is perhaps the most important NBA skill (besides the basics like breathing, running, and having a functioning nervous system), but just that alone won’t get you very far. There are some great pure shooters in the league, guys who can knock down just about any shot they want if they’re open, but they will forever be limited because of their lack of… dribble moves!

Check out this video: dribble moves! By Tyler Herro!

Sure, the “dribble moves” were more like “dribble around chaotically for 5 seconds before somehow squirming free to get a shot off” instead of the usual “one quick crossover into a smooth pullup jimbo” that we have seen from him, but it’s still a good sign. Herro is known for his quick and precise jumper, but being able to bamboozle defenses by being able to dribble the ball without looking at it OR dribbling it off his foot just opens up so much for his game.

The Heat had the kind of offensive game tonight that we saw from the a lot last year; the kind where every bucket is a struggle and nothing seems to be going on. A disturbing sign for a team that had really cut down on those slumps this year, but it was a good sign that Herro was able to put up 20 points regardless. Duncan Robinson would’ve scored about 6 points with the looks that Herro got; I love that dude, but has he even taken a single dribble in an NBA game yet?
