The Cavaliers played some of their most exciting basketball in the fourth quarter of this game against the Rockets. Led by Kevin Porter Jr., they put together a nice run to take a significant lead against James Har_en’s squad. Remember how loud Cleveland fans got while they had all those championship runs and Finals appearances? They can still get loud, it’s just that there was no reason to until tonight.
And then the Rockets came back because Har_en decided to to his thing and there was nothing anyone could really do about it. And then the Cavaliers lost. Again.
But for a while there, there was definitely some hype and excitement in Cleveland. Their season has kind of devolved into a joyless mush of bricked shots and player lassitude headed by an ancient shriveled dude who might be in over his head trying to deal with actual adults instead of a bunch of kids like he got to in college.
Porter offers some excitement for the future, but he’s been just as bad, overall, as Darius Garland and Collin Sexton. I’m not about to make an OFFICIAL POWER RANKING for those players, because thinking about all of that badness all at once would probably make me puke. Porter shouldn’t get any of the blame, though; he was a late pick, so he’s supposed to be not very good right now. Those other two, though, no excuses.
