Norman Powell 26 Points/5 Assists Full Highlights (12/16/2019)

Is this it? Is it really happening? Is Norman Powell finally becoming a consistent contributor who can be counted on to support the Raptors’ winning efforts on a game-to-game basis? Or has years of eating nothing but Hot Pockets and Pop-Tarts modified my brain chemistry so severely that my thoughts have become nothing more than disordered flashes of nonsense generated by what amounts to nothing more than a biological random number generator housed in my cranium, causing me to assign positive attributes to Powell that he does not possess?

After giving it some extra-hard and extra-deep thought, I think it’s the first option. Powell totally is playing like something “clicked” for him. Then again, if my thoughts are really as unreliable as I speculate, then giving something an extra-deep amount of thought won’t actually result in additional clarity. It will just result in more nonsense. DownToBuck is known for many things, but nonsense is not one of them. Except when he’s trying to write meaningful words about players and teams he knows nothing about.

Let’s look at the facts objectively so we can ignore the unreliable opinions my malnourished brain is currently generating. Is this the longest run of consistently good play that Powell has had in his career? Since November 8, Powell has had just three single-digit scoring games. That’s like a seventeen-game stretch where he’s been scoring decently well. When it comes to extended runs of scoring, only the end of his rookie year really compares, but that doesn’t compare either. Powell is the best he’s ever been and it seems like he’s just getting better.

After all that hard work typing this description, I think I deserve another Pop-Tart. Bon appetit!
