Markelle Fultz is averaging 5 assists per game, a really decent total for a guy who was left for dead by the 76ers, who are the best organization in the league for sure and definitely the best talent evaluators out of all teams. But before you get excited for all the dimes he’s dropping, remember: he gets to play with Nikola Vucevic, who is basically a bucket personified.
Sidenote: it doesn’t look like there are very many high-quality Vooch highlights on YouTube anymore, but it’s not my fault that most of the good highlight channels went away.
Fultz can basically pass it to Vooch whenever he wants, and chances are good that Vooch will shoot it as soon as he receives it. He has the whole package offensively, inside, outside, doesn’t matter. That kind of bigman is the reason John Stockton has a million assists in a career, and is perfect for any PG wanting to beef up their assist totals a little bit.
I’m not trying to discredit Fultz here, because he does make nice passes a lot of the time. Even some of the ones to Vooch are ones that a lesser point guard would mess up or not even see. I’m just trying to put some context next to the numbers that we all see. Also, I wanted to type “Vooch” a bunch of times because I lowkey miss him having him on my channel. Why did you have to become an All-Star, man?
