In my last Alec Burks video description, which was written just two days ago, I had these words to say:
“Now Josh Richardson is slumping hard but Burks is there to pic up the slack! This is exactly why they got him!”
Boy, do I look foolish now or what? Josh Richardson broke out of his slump in the most violent way possible with a 34/5/6 line. The severity of his slump was clearly overstated by myself and others. Not only that, but Alec Burks also had a good game in this one with a quick, efficient twenty-burger in 23 minutes, proving that he has utility besides simply rescuing the Sixers when Richardson decides to go cold. Did I see him acting as the primary ballhandler in the absence of Ben Simmons? I think I did!
There’s also a typo in the original quote from two days ago. My proofreader needs to be fired. And since I’m my proofreader, that means I have to fire myself. If this is my last video ever, you’ll know why.
