I was all set to put the words “career high” in the title of this video, words that would surely drive hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, of views to it, but then I actually looked up Wes Iwundu’s, career high and it’s not eighteen points. It’s nineteen points. And he did that in January of this year. Knowledge of that occurrence had completely slipped from my brain. When I look up the video, I remember the thumbnail (which features Iwundu in a mildly entertaining pose) but I don’t remember the video itself at all.
Guys, I think I’ve caught the ‘Zheimers.
There’s been a worrying trend lately where I’m completely forgetting which players have which career highs and when those career highs were achieved. That used to be information that I would effortlessly catalog in my brain for later retrieval. You could give me the name of any NBA player in the past decade and I could give you either an exact amount of points that represents their career high, or an amount of points that was pretty close. I don’t want to go quiz myself on random players because I don’t want to know what the results would be. There’s even the possibility that my ‘Zheimers has progressed to the point where I no longer remember long-ago players who are out of the league now.
I wonder how long I’ve been sitting here googling “Alzheimers cures”. Since I have the ‘Zheimers, it’s hard to tell. Probably days.
