Shabazz Muhammad better be writing a thank-you card to Kevin Martin for spraining his ankle. With that guy and his 30 MPG out of the picture, enough minutes opened up for Shabazz to show that he can actually, maybe, sort of contribute to high-quality basketball…a little bit? Once, a long time ago, one of my smarty-pants friends told me something about “sample sizes,” a concept which I feel might apply in this situation, but I’m not sure. All I know is that Muhammad actually displayed an offensive repertoire outside of his jump-hook.
I’m just going to put it out there: a young core of Muhammad-Wiggins-Bennett at the two-three-four is pretty much a ticket for guaranteed ‘chips until they retire. I look forward to repeated Wolves-Bucks matchups in the Finals for at least the next decade.
