There’s one guy on every team who is grossly overrated by that team’s fans. Someone like Tobias Harris or Maurice Harkless or Jimmy Butler. They aren’t very good, but for some reason the homers think that they have a ton of “potential” and that they can never be traded for anything.
Jordan Hamilton is that guy.
Not the worst thing in the world to be, either. He could be a scrub who everyone hates. Or an overpaid chucker. Or a malcontent. Yeah, being a player with overstated potential is pretty sweet. Sometimes you even graduate to “actually good player”. Maybe that will happen with Jordan Hamilton. He does have a nice three point stroke. That alone should secure a place for him in the league.
