Do Australians even have the delicious burger/sandwich known as the “Patty Melt”? (the basketball player “Patty Mills” isn’t the same, notice the hard “T” sound.) Or is that only an American thing? Well, in the interest of cross-cultural enlightenment, I’m gonna assume that they don’t, and that they need to be made aware of this delicious creation.
Ingredients:
FRICKIN onions
FRICKIN rye bread
FRICKIN beef
FRICKIN Swiss cheese
Here’s how the cooking part is gonna go down:
Caramelize the onions (do this part first cause it takes a HELLA long time)
Make burger shapes out of the meat and cook them
Assemble the sandwich in the following manner: bread cheese patty cheese onions bread
Grill assembled sandwich like you would a grilled cheese
Then you eat it, because the whole point of this was that you were hungry and desired animal bits in your mouth. You’re welcome, Australia. No need to thank us.
