Josh Smith is one of those players who shouldn’t be taking jumpers. His three-ball is okay this year, but his midrange game is embarrassing and somebody should put a stop to it. For every ten of those wonky rainbow jumpers he takes from 19 feet, he makes fewer than three. It’s fine to take that shot when he’s open, but most of the time a defender is right there. If all he did was shoot threes and take easy shots at the rim, he would be the best two-way PF in the game.
