John Salmons once averaged almost 20 points per game over the course of half a season with the Milwaukee Bucks. When the Bucks decided they wanted to lock him up for a few years with a big contract, he immediately regressed to career norms. After games he would cash his paycheck in twenties and take money baths in his apartment. Just another reason why guaranteed contracts should not exist. Anyway, Salmons is now languishing on the directionless Kings franchise, which is exactly what he deserves. This is his first “good” game of the season, shooting 9-of-12 and contributing to the box score in other ways as well. On the back of Salmons’ hot shooting, the Kings raided the Boston Celtics Nursing Home and pushed all of the patients out of their beds, leading to a decisive victory.
But John Salmons and Brandon Bass in the same game? There’s something fishy going on here…
