Andre Miller is the best in the league, other than maybe Chris Paul, at throwing lobs for alley-oop slammy whammies. It helps to have athletic freaks like McGee and Faried on your team, but he can throw oops to pretty much anyone who can dunk. It’s just one side of his multi-faceted game. Other sides include: being really old but still good, being 10th all-time in assists, not being able to shoot threes, and rarely missing a game.
He can also throw it down if the need arises. The need doesn’t arise very often. A layup is just as many points and you’re less likely to explode your knees while doing it. Now that I think about it, why do people dunk at all?
