Apparently Wayne Ellington won the NCAA National Championship while he was at North Carolina. I wouldn’t know because college basketball sucks. But what sucks worse is that Ellington was used to winning, yet his whole career (minus half a season with the Grizz) has been on losing teams.
The worst, though, is getting traded with Marreese Speights, Josh Selby, and a first-round pick for Jon Leuer. If we accept the assumption that all NBA trades are perfectly equal in value, that means our friend Mr. Ellington is worth approximately 1/4 of Jon Leuer. And Leuer is horrible; he doesn’t even play. So what does that make Ellington? The worst player in the world. 21 points is pretty good for the worst player in the world. An ideal “worst player in the world” would just lie down at center court and commit over-and-back violations whenever the ball happened to roll over to him.
