I hope this letter finds you well. You may wonder why I am bothering to write to you. It is well known that we are not friends. After you brutally ended my season in 2010, pushing me from the rim to land horribly on my elbow, our relationship has not been close, and my career has been an increasingly saddening series of injuries and failures. But I thought we should renew our correspondence and verify that there are no hard feelings.
I am pleased to hear that you are making progress with your knee problems. When you are fully healed, I have a special gift for you. Usually I would not want to spoil the surprise, but I think that this is pertinent information for you to know. At the time when you come back to the basketball court 100%, and we are playing simultaneously, I will push you to the ground as you did to me all those years ago. And while you stare up from the ground in surprise, I will stomp on your knees with the fullness of my immense power. It will take all three refs to halt my assault on your legs. After this episode, you will never play basketball again. Amputation might be necessary.
