Chandler Parsons Career High 34 Points/10 Threes Full Highlights (1/24/2014)

Robert Horry’s gonna be pretty sad to find out that Parsons broke his Rockets record of 9 threes in a game. Until he looks at his hands bedecked with championship rings. Rings ease the pain of a lot of stuff, I’d guess.

Oh yeah, the record. 10 threes. In a row. Without missing. And it’s not like they were corner threes or wide open or anything. Some of those suckers were DEEP. I was fully expecting half-court heaves by the end of this display.

It’s a shame that Harden and Howard decided to take the night off and ruin Parson’s magical night. People say you need superstars to win. But when a team has two of them and still isn’t that great? Time to reevaluate those players’ statuses. Harden is an iso-maniac chucker who regularly freezes everyone out of the offense. Howard complains about touches, turns it over every time he does get a touch, and misses all his foul shots.

Meanwhile, Parsons has a well-rounded game with a smooth (if flat) shooting touch and good athletic ability. His foul shooting has improved markedly since he entered the league. He makes the passes, plays defense, and shaves his head for cancer patients. All of this on a cheapo contract. I know who I want on my team.
