If you’re the Bucks, and Ersan Ilyasova is out for the rest of the season with a made-up injury, who do you start at the power forward position?
A.) Jeff Adrien
B.) Khris Middleton
C.) John “Gumby” Henson
Most of us would answer C and laugh off the other two answers. John Henson is young, has upside, and probably has some place in the Bucks’ long-term plans. It would be helpful to see what he could do with 30 MPG for a few weeks as the starter.
However, management does not see it that way, and perpetual scrub Jeff Adrien gets to start. This helps no one except Jeff Adrien, who gets to show off his worth and hopefully sign a multiyear deal somewhere. Meanwhile, Gumby’s development is stunted.
With the Bucks for sale, I tried to scrape together my proceeds from making highlight videos and maybe make a run at purchasing the team. When all was said and done, I had approximately $0.00. So buying the team outright is out of the question, but I’m trying to worm my way into one of the ownership groups that’s forming. How does “DownToPresidentOfBasketballOperations” sound?
