Good thing the Grizzlies won this game, because if they hadn’t, I fully believe that Tony Allen would be dead now, ambushed by a mob of enraged Grizzlies fans. Not only did he commit a stupid shooting foul on Westbrook to allow a four-point play at the end of regulation, he fouled at the end of the overtime period to give the Thunder another chance to tie. If Tony wasn’t such a clutch dunker, this game could be pointed at as the exact moment where the Grizzlies decided to tear it all down and rebuild.
In a way, I’m happy. If the Thunder lose this series, maybe people will finally shut up about the “OKC Model”.
