I bet Kirk Hinrich kind of wishes that Derrick Rose would stop getting injured, and he could just ease off into retirement. Nope. Year after year he gets big minutes, hand delivered by Mr. Injuries himself. Minutes that he probably feels every day when he wakes up and for a few hours after.
The executives over and ESPN probably weren’t too happy either. We did get a good amount of LeBron vs Rose action, and Hinrich was quite clutch at the end, but no one wants clutch shots from some ancient white scrub. They want Rose taking those shots. They want narratives. Kirk Hinrich has never had and never will have any of those disgusting things.
