Markel Brown 10 Points/11 Rebounds/4 Blocks Full Highlights (2/23/2015)

10 points, 11 rebounds, 4 blocks. If you asked me which young Nets prospect accumulated that statline, I would say without hesitation “Cory Jefferson”. If you told me I was incorrect, I would then guess Mason Plumlee, then Cory Jefferson again, followed by Jerome Jordan, Bojan Bogdanovic, Sergey Karasev, and then maybe Markel Brown, if I even remembered of his existence.

I didn’t realize that he was a shot-blocking double-double machine. And these weren’t wimpy steals disguised as blocks by the scorekeeper’s ineptitude (one of them was). These were man blocks, jump shots erased by the incredible athleticism of the Marksman.

As a bonus to his bigman-esque numbers, we got another highlight-reel alley-oop jam. This guy can really get up. I’d even say he should have been in the dunk contest over Plumlee, and I bet a lot of people would agree.
