The big question of Michael Carter-Williams’ career up to now: was he bad because of his horrible situation or was he in a horrible situation made worse because of his badness?
We are closer to figuring out the answer, now that he has been traded to a non-dumpster-fire Bucks team. The early returns on our inquiry?
Eh.
He’s been okay. He made a bunch of midrange jumpers tonight, which was good to see, but he still can’t really shoot. He’ll put together a really good quarter and follow it up with a bunch of crap. He can pass, but he can also turn it over.
Most critically, he is not Brandon Knight, which is good, but he is also not Brandon Knight, which is bad.
How’s that for profundity?
