C.J. “Cold Justice” Miles has been pretty streaky this year. Unfortunately for Pacers fans, his streaks tend more towards “total bricklayer from behind the arc” than “steel-hearted three point murderer”.
Is it unreasonable to say that if Miles had played up to the expectations set by the rest of his body of work (at least with the Cavs, my memory of him on the Jazz is rendered faint and hazy by the dense fog of time), the Pacers would be sitting in a playoff spot right now? I think that is a reasonable assertion to make. But what would have really helped is if some fragile-legged near-superstar hadn’t been blindfolded, taken to a back alley, and murdered by FIBA.
