Nik Stauskas 12 Points 76ers Debut Full Highlights (10/30/2015)

Can we talk about how the Kings gave up on their crowd-sourced lottery pick after only one season?

Yes, we can, because this is my description box and I can type whatever I want in it. Deal with it.

Anyway, back to Nik Stauskas (the guy I was referencing above, Thomas Robinson can wait for another time). I mean, he didn’t show a whole heck of a lot in his rookie season, so why would you trade him when his value was probably at its absolute nadir? It’s en vogue to trash the Kings right now, but rightfully so. Almost all their drafted talent, except for Cousins, have been bad. That means that A: they can’t identify talent, or B: they can’t develop talent. And then they give up on the talent because the talent sucks. Not good.

I admit, I bought into the Stauskas hype before last season, and was disappointed to see him perform poorly and get his posterior riveted to the bench. There is hope for him, now, in Philly, where there might not have been in Sac-town, as he is now on an even worse team who has even more of an incentive to develop their players. Enjoy that hope while it lasts, though, because I’m getting Jimmer vibes from this whole sitch.
