Ouch. Another 76ers loss. Gotta feel for the fans there, except oh yeah that was the outcome they were rooting for tonight. Trust the process, man.
Is there such a thing as tanking too hard? Probably not, but if there was, Philly would definitely qualify. The best thing that can be said for them is that in a few of their losses they didn’t look utterly outmatched, only mostly outmatched.
This game wouldn’t have been close except Isaiah Canaan hit a bunch of shots that he would not normally hit. The idea of Isaiah is a good one for the 76ers: a point guard who can light it up from the perimeter. There are two problems, though. For one, he’s more of a tiny shooting guard, and for another, the only thing he’s lighting up right now are his boxscores with a match after games. Oh well. Doesn’t matter once Ben Simmons is in town, am I right?
