I’m going to withhold judgment on Nik Stauskas until he gets on a team that isn’t total garbage. The Kings blew butthole last year, and the 76ers, while less dysfunctional of an organization, are also in the process of blowing butthole. There is, paradoxically, more pressure for Nik to succeed in these bad situations. Instead of the team saying “you can be good or not, it doesn’t really matter to us right now”, his teams are saying “we need you to be good so that we can maybe make the playoffs in the next few years”.
What I’m trying to say is, put him on the Spurs, and he’ll turn into a beast.
