Sometimes players will thrive in a bad situation. Apparently Markel Brown is not one of those players.
The NBA should have tried harder to get this guy in the dunk contest because I honestly don’t think he’s going to be in the league after this year. There’s simply no room in the NBA for undersized shooting guards who can’t shoot. Unless Markel goes to Europe, reinvents himself, and comes back, this is his last year of eligibility for the contest and he missed the boat.
Fifteen points on five-of-five from the field is by far the best game of his underwhelming season. If he keeps doing similar things to the things he did in this game, I’ll happily eat my own words. But I’m thinking Markel and his agent should start looking at the cost of flights to Europe.
By the way, if you’re watching this video just to see some sick dunks, just don’t bother. They aren’t there. Maybe I should have said this at the beginning of the description.
