The ESPN-provided commentator for this game can’t stop talking about the potential that Moe Harkless allegedly possesses. I think this happened once before for a national game. It was probably the same guy. On that occasion, the commentator brought up St. John’s at least twice and in general seemed to have an enormous boner for Harkless. If it’s the same guy, the boner is still there and it hasn’t faltered in its erectness; in fact, it might have even become larger in the intervening months.
I don’t know if I share this guy’s hype. Moe Flow is pretty good at slashing/dunking, but his jumpshot seems shaky and he’ll only shoot a jumper if he’s behind the long line. He sort of reminds me of Earl Clark, but it’s been so long since I saw Earl Clark play that I have no idea if I’m right or not. If he does indeed follow the Earl Clark career trajectory, he should get ready to average 25 per game in China.
