Meyers Leonard 17 Points Full Highlights (2/28/2016)

Meyers Leonard is one of a rare breed: the true center who can shoot threes. Not content to be pigeonholed as a stretch-four, he is a pure stretch-five. He is also soft as tissue paper, but that’s not the point right now. Back to threes-pointers.

Boy, is he shooting a lot of them. A little over 6 attempts per 36, for centers only Channing Frye and Kelly Olynyk compare (shut up basketball-reference Matt Bonner is not a center are you frickin’ serious?). Actually, Channing is a good comparison for this dude; a guy who had to reinvent his game, transitioning from an interior presence into an outside shooter over the course of one offseason. Now if only Meyers had a Steve Nash to pass it to him. Damian Lillard is great, but he’s just not the same.
