Everyone keeps having not-very-nice things to say about Harrison Barnes. “He sucks”, they say. But then they go into more detail: “How is he supposed to be good when he couldn’t even take advantage of all the open looks he got with the Warriors?”, “He couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn during the preseason!”, “I hate Iowans!”, “His overpaid bum-ass is the reason Dirk isn’t gonna win another ring!”, “I want people to fail because I can’t face my own personal failures!”.
All that and more I have seen on the internet, but also heard on the streets. The animosity for Harrison, before he had even stepped on the court for a regular season Mavericks game, is sickening. So what if he is ludicrously overpaid? It’s not his fault that Mark Cuban panicked while trying to push for the 8th seed. He is what he is, he is trying is very best, and if you can’t accept that, then, frankly, go BUCK yourself.
