Evan “The Fournicator” Fournier is now the sole top dog on the Magic thanks to the benching/regression of one Nikola Vucevic. Unfortunately, a team with Fournier as the top dog is probably not going to be very good, as we’re finding out right now. He’s scoring efficiently and with volume, which is all you can ask him to do, but with Ibaka, Vucevic, and Payton being the next in line for scoring, Fournier doesn’t exactly have to be an All-Star to be the best player on the team.
Yeah, I said it. I don’t think he’ll be an All-Star this year. Remember when Arron Afflalo put up 20 PPG on the Magic that one time but he wasn’t an All-Star because that roidmonster D-Wade took his spot? That could happen again this year, and it might even be D-Wade again taking Fournier’s spot and also taking lots of ‘roids injected through the buttocks. The only way for this fate to be avoided is for French people to rig the voting for Fournier just like the Georgians tried to rig it for Zaza, but this time it actually makes a little bit of sense that Fournier might be good enough to hang out with all the superstars during All-Star weekend. Still probably not happening though.
