Just give Wilson Chandler the 6MOTY trophy right now. Just give it to him. He’s leading his team in scoring while coming off the bench. That’s as close to a lock on the award as you can get. Carve his name into it or whatever it is you need to to to get it ready, then present it to him at the next Nuggets home game. Then you can take last year’s award away from Jamal Crawford who didn’t deserve it and give it to Will Barton who did deserve it.
Wilson Chandler being a beast is pretty much the only thing going right for the Nuggets currently. That and Jamal Murray not being total garbagey garbage like most of his draftmates (for the purposes of this description, ignore Murray’s poor shooting last night). Him bringing home the 6MOTY of the year trophy will probably be the only good thing that comes out of this season. So Mike Malone better not screw this up and put Chandler into the starting lineup because of his strong play. Just keep starting Gallinari. Nothing must prevent Ill Will from getting that trophy.
