Man, what the heck happened here? The Mavericks were definitely NOT supposed to beat the Bulls. The Mavericks = bad team. The Bulls = good team. Bad teams do not normally beat good teams. This totally messes up my power-rankings. Like, really, really bad. What am I supposed to do now? There is no way to reconcile this individual game result with the rest of the information I have received throughout the season. No way that I can see, at least. Do I just put Dallas at the top and call it a day? Maybe I will. Power rankings are subjective by their nature, so no one could really call me out on it.
If Wesley Matthews can keep this up, maybe Dallas will one day even earn that ranking. Matthews has been struggling badly for just about the whole season, and I don’t see any reason to think that this isn’t just a random hot shooting night from a guy who still has the capability to shoot a lot of shots. He did look good though. At least these highlights did. Of course I didn’t actually watch the game, what, do you think I’m made out of hourglasses?
