Harrison Barnes 29 Points Full Highlights (12/5/2016)

We are now a fourth of the way through the season (contain your tears) and Harrison Barnes is still averaging twenty points per game. Does this mean that Barnes is officially a twenty point per game scorer in the league? No. Not yet. He needs to be averaging twenty at the end of the regular season for it to be official. But it does mean he is a strong candidate for being placed in that elite category, rubbing shoulders with such basketball studs as Mike James and Andrea Bargnani.

I mean, it doesn’t really matter all that match. We only like twenty because it’s a nice round number ending in a zero, and it’s only a nice round number because of our base ten counting system, and we only use base ten because we have ten fingers. If we all had twelve fingers, then nobody would care that Barnes averaged twenty per game. It just wouldn’t matter. When you see somebody average eighteen per game do you even raise an eyebrow? No. It doesn’t matter to you.

What I’m saying is we should be happy with whatever Barnes ends up averaging this year. Unless it’s under twenty. Then we tell him he’s not worth his contract so that he feels bad.
