Maybe there’s something fatally wrong with the Hawks, maybe there isn’t, but we all can agree that giving up 131 points to an offensively-challenged-and-that’s-putting-it-lightly Magic team is not a good a sign. At what point do you stop saying “they just keep hitting shots” and say instead “why does our defensive concept allow for so many wide open looks”?
It doesn’t matter much to me. I don’t have a horse in the race here, except the horse called “Scrubs and Role-Players Having Good Games”. That’s all I care about here. If the Hawks would give up 130 to their opponent while scoring 120 every game, that would be about the best thing ever. Highlights galore. Dënniß ßchrööder would be putting up games like this every time he stepped on the court. He’d probably even end up with a 20-assist game or two.
Oh man. Now wouldn’t that be sweet. It could happen sooner if Korver and Bazemore would stop sucking moob for a little bit and hit some shots.
