The much-anticipated Hernangomez vs. Hernangomez matchup failed to live up to the hype. Willy certainly held up his end of the bargain, scoring a career-high 17 points. Juan, on the other hand, barely got in the game and hit a free throw for his sole contribution to the Nuggets’ winning effort.
For that reason, I hope not very many people in Spain stayed up late/got up early to watch this one. I don’t know how popular the Hernangomez bros are in their home country. Are they beloved like the Gasols? Reviled like… that guy in Spain who sucks? I don’t know. All I know is that Willy needs to revert back to his real name of Guillermo. Doesn’t he realize that “Willy” has naughty connotations in English?
