If you told someone “Elfrid Payton can’t shoot”, and then showed them this video, you would be one dumb MFer. Why give people information that completely refutes your point? That would be stupid as heck.
Payton makes it rain in this video, is what I’m trying to say. He makes it rain in spite of the years of accumulated evidence that the only thing he can do is make it drizzle sometimes. His form doesn’t look any different, and his shooting from deep has actually regressed this year, so I’m gonna chalk this performance up to “bad NBA shooters still can make shots”.
I mean, even that guy at my gym who has the most ridiculous form sometimes gets hot and hits a few clunky-looking threes in a row. You can tell because he starts swearing at himself when he misses more than a few in a row, which is pretty much all the time. Silence means he’s canning those suckers. His annoyance is only exacerbated by his jealously at my Michael Redd-meets-Adam Morrison shooting form, which, by the way, is pretty much the wettest thing ever. Just letting you know.
