I don’t want to say that Raymond Felton’s performance tonight calls into question Chris Paul’s value to the Clippers, but… Raymond Felton’s performance tonight calls into question Chris Paul’s value to the Clippers.
Paul has only had two games this season of at least 26 points and at least 8 assists. Only two, out of the thirty games he has played so far. The Clippers are paying him 22 million dollars for that, while they pay Felton a mere 1.5 million. Are you seeing the same disparity in value that I am? You close your eyes and cover your ears, trying to keep the truth from worming into your brain, but your attempts are futile; you are forced to accept that Felton is just as good as Paul while being a fraction of the cost.
It’s not too late for the Clippers to trade Paul. A lot of teams are awed by his so-called “good stats”, and they could get quite a return for him. Felton can take the reins from here on out.
