Boban Marjanovic 13 Points Full Highlights (1/12/2017)

I just found out that Boban Marjanovic is already 28 years old. My brain had probably received that information as some point in the past, but apparently that little factoid was discarded in order to store something that I deemed more important at the time. Now that I have relearned of Marjanovic’s age, the urgency of the situation has magnified tenfold.

Boban needs to start getting major minutes somewhere. SOON. He’s not getting any younger. In fact, he is progressing through time at the rate of one second per second, which means he is actually getting older along with the rest of us. And you know his gigantic mutant body isn’t going to be in tip-top shape at 34 years old. He’s only got two or three years of prime left, maybe less.

The Pistons have Andre Drummond already. We know that. To play Boban the minutes I require would, by rule, involve some sort of “Boban at PF” experiment. Boban is way out of position at anything other than center, which leaves us only two options: get Drummond injured somehow, or trade Boban to a team that will play him twenty to thirty minutes per game and run a large amount of offense through his post-ups. How else are we going to see whether his sick advanced stats are just a mirage or if they would be sustainable when given a larger role? There is no other way.

The clock is ticking. Tick tock tick tock goes the clock. Somebody unchain Boban before the chains of time are lashed harshly around his limbs.
