Anthony Davis status: completely and totally OBSOLETE.
I’m sure there’s a team that will give the Pelicans a tons of picks and stuff for him. Right? I mean, at least one team will have ignored the fact that the not-very-good Pelicans beat the Cavaliers while getting a superior performance from his backup, Terrence Jones. That’s the team that will think Davis is still worth anything at all, even when it is now clear that he has been made redundant on his own team.
Maybe they should just waive him. There’s no way that this performance by Jones will go unnoticed by any of the other 29 GMs, and when they see it, they will know that Davis can be had for super cheap. For free even. And they’re not going to want him. I hope The Brow enjoys China, because that’s where he’s going to end up, while Jones enjoys hot babes and sponsorships and entourages that include famous rappers.
That’s right: Jones will have an entourage that includes OTHER famous people. Not just a bunch of losers who want residual glory. That’s how big he’s going to be.
